From Cagliari take the SS 195 in the direction of Domus De Maria. A few kilometres after Santa Margherita di Pula, turn left towards Chia. Follow the signposts to Torre Chia.
Description
Cala Chia is a small bay, dominated by the Tower of Chia, covered in cream-coloured sand dotted with rocks. It is lapped by crystal clear shallow waters of a light blue colour. A small island called Cardolinu lies on the left side of the beach, to which it is joined by a sandy isthmus. This can be reached following a footpath on the promontory which borders the eastern side of Cala Chia. From the promontory on the western side of the beach, towards the Tower of Chia, it will moreover be possible to admire the ruins of the ancient Phoenician-Punic town of Bithia.
