Itineray
From Carloforte take the SP 104 in the direction of Capo Sandalo. This road first runs along the western side of the saltpans adjacent to the town, it turns north-westward going across the island’s interior, and then after 9 km it gets to Capo Sandalo, where it ends in an open field. About 1 km before arriving there, turn right at the junction to Cala Fico, where you will arrive going down a short stretch of a dirt road.
Description
Cala Fico is a small cove made up of big pebbles, set in an inlet formed by high steep rock faces of a white colour. Its light blue waters are incredibly transparent. This small beach is located in the middle of a wildlife protected area which encompasses the region between Capo Rosso in the south and Cala Vinagra in the north. This oasis was created for the protection of the Eleonora’s falcon, which from Madagascar flies across the African continents to breed in this area.
Car park, kiosk.
