If you are leaving from Dorgali take the SP 26 towards Cala Gonone. After more or less 7 km of a panoramic winding road you will arrive to Cala Gonone. From the centre of Cala Gonone take Viale del Bue Marino. This street crosses the town and follows the coast south for more or less 3 km and arrives to Cala Fuili beach where it ends. Park along the road and walk towards the beach.
Description
This beach is characterized by pebbles and rocks. Its marvellous sea-bottom is pebbled and with the azure and crystalline water make of this beach a longed-for destination for snorkelling enthusiasts. To reach it take an ancient path used by coalmen and shepherds transformed in a flight of stairs which allows you to arrive to the famous Cala Luna with some difficulties and after 5 hours of hiking. Cala Fruili is on a river’s mouth, nowadays fossilized, which was hollowed for thousands of years in the granitic rocks and created a fantastic gorge called Codula Fuili. Along the gully you can take an medium difficult walk on the river’s bed immerging yourself in the heart of the Mediterranean maquis. It is very well loved by free climbers enthusiasts because of the many equipped rock walls for the various difficulty level climbs.
