Description
It is one of the most beautiful and famous beaches of Sardinia. More or less 500 metres long it has light grey coarse sand, the sea is crystalline of an azure-green colour, the sea-bottom is sandy mixed with pebbles. The part further north is part of the municipality of Dorgali and is characterized by a steep white limestone rock wall with caves at the foot of the beach. The southern part is part of the municipality of Baunei and is characterized by a marsh behind a dune formation encircled by a wonderful oleander forest. A small wooden bridge allows you to pass the marsh and to arrive to a bar where is possible to refresh. From there Codula di Luna starts, which is a famous gorge that is in a unique context not to be missed where nature is wild and uncontaminated. Punta dei Lastroni and the promontory of Su Magongiu, south of the beach, shelter it from winds and sea currents. It is a paradise not to be missed.
