From via Roma, in downtown Cagliari, continue along viale Diaz following the signposts to the beach of Poetto. After you cross the Vittorio bridge, going straight on you arrive at the beach of Poetto, whereas turning right onto viale San Bartolomeo and driving along this avenue, you get to viale Calamosca. This narrow avenue with trees on both sides ends at the beach of Calamosca. On the left of it you will see an unpaved road which ends in the proximity of a nightclub. Cross the gate of the club, and climb down the steps that will lead you to the small cove.
Description
This is a small cove close to the Devil’s Saddle, a promontory which is a symbol of the city of Cagliari. The beach is bordered by two bluffs covered in Mediterrenean maquis. In this beach, characterized by crystal and transparent waters, the seabed is made of rocks and pebbles. A wooden platform managed by the bathing establishment allow a comfortable stay despite the stony seashore. In summertime the beach is also frequented during the night.
