Itineray
From Dorgali take the SS 125 towards Orosei. After about 5 km turn right at the junction to the grotta di Ispinigoli ( Cave of Ispinigoli). Continue straight for about 4 km until you reach a fork located in the locality of Tinnipereddu, close to the farm inn with the same name. Here take a left, leaving the road to Cala Cartoe on your right side. Continue driving for another 4 km along the road that runs close to the codula of the Rio Osalla, and leads to the car park behind the beach.
As an alternative, from the harbour of Cala Gonone take via Marco Polo. After a number of hairpin bends, go past the Passo di Littu and you will reach a road that runs from Dorgali. There turn right and carry on, going past the right turning to Cala Cartoe, until you reach the locality of Tinnipereddu. There take the right fork to Cala Osalla.
Description
This small beach is characterized by middle-grained golden sand, and is lapped by shallow crystalline waters beneath which lies a sandy sea-bottom. The beach is set in an extremely beautiful natural backdrop. It is backed by the rio Osalla that for thousands of years has carved the rocks creating a narrow canyon. It is bordered on the southern side by the promontory of Punta Nera di Osalla covered in Mediterranean maquis, and on the northern side by a small promontory, on which stands the nuraghe Golunie, that separates it from the beach of Osalla di Orosei. This beach can be reached through a path that climbs up the promontory running by the nuraghe.
Kiosk, restaurant, car park.
