It can be reached by ferry boats which leave from Cala Gonone, Santa Maria Navarrese, Arbatax, La Caletta di Siniscola port otherwise with one’s own boat or rented craft. If you are leaving from Baunei take the asphalted road of Baia Maiore following the signs for Golgo and San Pietro’s small church. From there a dirt and unsettled road starts which through the Baunei Supramonte arrives to Codula di Sisine. From there with a half an hour walk you will arrive to the beach.
Description
This beautiful cove is characterized by coarse sand mixed with pebbles and like Cala Luna is between beautiful cliffs that drop straight down to the sea. The sea is transparent and turquoise, the sea-bottom is sandy mixed with pebbles and particularly articulated, it attracts snorkelling and diving enthusiasts. Behind the beach there’s a refreshment centre and Codula di Sisine begins. In this incredibly beautiful gorge vegetation consists in a thick holm oak forest of a hundred years old and in a rich and perfumed Mediterranean maquis. This paradise not to be missed had already been frequented during roman times when it was a small port.
