One of the prettiest spots on the Mediterranean Sea, caressed by water as crystal-clear as spring water, protected areas, dunes, and an extraordinary archaeological heritage: this is Chia’s coastline, nominated the “most beautiful beach 2017” by the Legambiente and the Italian Touring Club, taking first position among “five-star beach destinations”.

Seven kilometers of paradisiacal beaches: sa Tuerra, Porto Campana, De su Sali and Su Giudeu, all so gorgeous as to have been chosen as the backdrop for commercials, showing off its ancient juniper trees on the white slopes of its dunes.

And then there is Cala Cipolla, Cala del Morto, right up to Tuerredda.

Yoy can dive in the sea as you can in archaeology at the tower of Torre di Chia, and on towards the small coves which unite the mainland with the islette of Su Cardolino, or along the splendid beach of Sa Colonia, with its mines which look like an open-air museum, and you will get closer to the ancient roots of this area, as testified by the ruins of the antique and prosperous Phoenician city of Bithia, while the elegant pink flamingos are standing watch in the enchanting lagoon of Chia.
