Sant'Antioco, the largest island in Sardinia

Located on the southwest coast, Sant'Antico Island, Sardinia's largest, is a concentration of history and beauty. It is connected to the mainland by a modern bridge built near the Roman one.

The island's eponymous settlement is located on Sulki, likely one of the oldest Phoenician ports in the Mediterranean. The Ferrucio Barreca Archaeological Museum preserves and displays a collection of extraordinary artifacts related to the Phoenician-Punic culture and is located a short walk from the sacred area of the Tophet.

On the northern tip of the island lies the white town of Calasetta, founded in the 18th century and filled with the scent of sea and sky, surrounded by enchanting beaches and coves. The clear blue waters and essential geometry of the town's center reverberate in the surprising collection of the MACC Museum of Contemporary Art, the cultural heart of the town with its temporary exhibitions and events of great national and international appeal.
