Jazz & Blues in Sardinia

The beaches and nature become an amphitheater

Every summer in Sardinia, jazz takes center stage; for over thirty years, the island has hosted internationally renowned festivals.
Sand amphitheatres, limestone halls, charming village squares, archaeological sites, and sea caves become the stage for jazz, blues, soul, rock, pop, and pop concerts from late June to September: Jazz in Sardegna in Cagliari, the Dromos Festival in the Oristano area, Abbabula, with events also held in the pre-Nuragic ziggurat of Monte d'Accoddi (Sassari), and events in the Sound Park in Riola Sardo, among the sandstone quarries adjacent to the Heroes' Site of Mont'e Prama. And then there are even more concerts on the Sinis Peninsula, in Cabras: exclusive locations such as the amphitheater of the ancient city of Tharros and the beach of Is Arutas.
