Itineray
From Palau there are ferry boats that leave for the Isola La Maddalena (Maddalena Island) and dock to La Maddalena port. La Maddalena north-east edge of the inhabited centre drive towards the Isola di Caprera ( Caprera Island) connected to La Maddalena thanks to the Moneta bridge. Passed the bridge, turn right and continue south towards Isola Rossa. Pass Stagnali and a little after in the right there’s the turn-off for Porto Palma beach. Otherwise it is reachable with own craft.
Description
Porto Palma is characterized by golden fine sand. The sea is transparent and azure, the water is shallow and the sea-bottom is sandy with some stretches of rocks. Is on the bay sheltered by the Monte Fico (Fig Mountain) promontory at west and by Punta Rossa (Red Pit) at east. The landscape is marvellous and characterized by the strong chromatic contrast between the Mediterranean maquis and the water of the sea behind it.
Car park.
