Itineray
From Carloforte you can get to the beach by taking two roads. You can take the SP 102 in the direction of La Caletta, which goes across the island’s interior, or from the harbour of Carloforte you can take the coast road that runs along the south-western coastline of the island, and then goes up westwards until it reaches La Caletta. The two roads join up again at Punta di Mezzaluna and continue until they reach the well-signalled La Caletta.
Description
This beach is the most famous of the island. It boasts fine white sand and a crystalline light blue sea. Thanks to its shallow waters and the sandy seabed it is suitable for families with children. The scenery is characterized by a dunal formation to the rear, and by promontories covered in rich Mediterranean maquis which surround the beach and protect it from the winds. With an easy walk it will be possible to get to Punta dei Cannoni, located to the north of the beach. From there you can admire a magnificent panorama that includes the famous promontory of Capo Sandalo.
