Description
Bosa is a colourful quaint town of about 8,000 inhabitants. It lies on the valley of the Temo River, in the proximity of its estuary, and it climbs up the Serravalle hill, which is topped by the medieval Malaspina Castle. On account of its position and of the navigability of the Temo, the town has been a place of confluence of different cultures. The river is navigable, with boats with a small draft, for about 6 km inland, where it is possible to admire the remains of a Roman bridge. On its banks in the city centre, stand the buildings of the old tanneries dating back to the beginning of the 1900s, ideal for those who enjoy visiting old industrial buildings. Strolling along the small streets that climb up the hill, among colourful houses and historical remains, turns out to be a unique experience.
