If you are leaving from Barisardo take Via Mare and follow the signs for Torre di Bari (Bari’s Tower). After more or less 4,5 km you will arrive to the small touristic centre of Torre di Bari. From there is possible to reach the first part of the beach on foot. To reach the central part of Sa Marina beach drive along the coast road that connects Torre di Bari to Marina di Cardedu, further south. On the road there are many small streets that reach the beach.
Description
This beach is divided in two parts by a cliff. The first part is characterized by grey fine sand and pebbles. The second part is characterized by golden fine sand. The sea is limpid and crystalline, the sea-bottom is sandy and mostly rocky near the tower. This stretch of coast is famous because it is has longest shore of Sardinia. It is 8 km long and it runs parallel to a stretch of levelled country. A lush pine and eucalyptus forest separates the beach from the country. The beach south changes its name many times in Sa Marina, Foxi, Tramalitza, Marina di Cardedu, Marina di Sa Perda ‘e Pera. The last two beaches are part of the municipality of Cardedu.
