From Cagliari take the SS 195 in the direction of Domus De Maria. A few kilometres after Santa Mrgherita di Pula, turn left towards Chia. When you arrive at an intersection with a bar on the left side, go straight. In the proximity of the Chia Laguna Resort, turn left and follow the signposts to the beach.
Description
Due to the constant winds that blow in this stretch of littoral, this is a usual surfing spot. Thanks to its length and its shallow depths it is suitable for families with children. It has fine cream-coloured sand and crystalline waters of colours ranging from light-blue to green. It is backed by a small lagoon which hosts a colony of pink flamingos. During the summer, when the lagoon is not connected to the sea, the beach of Monte Cogoni is joined to the one of Sa Colonia.
