If you are leaving from Olbia take the SS 125 north towards Arzachena and follow the signs for Porto Cervo, on the SP 73 and on the SP 94. After more or less 18 km, after passing Portisco, turn right on an unpaved road which takes to the beach. If you are leaving from Arzachena take the SS 125 south towards Olbia. After more or less 5 km turn left on the SP 73 and follow the signs for Baia Sardinia. After travelling c.3 km continue on the SP 59 for Porto Cervo. After more or less 6 km turn right on the SP 94 that comes from Olbia. After travelling c.1,5 km pass the turn-off on the left for Romazzino and Capriccioli and continue towards Olbia. After more or less 5 km there’s an unpaved road on the left that takes to the beach.
Description
Petra Ruja represents the wilder area on Costa Smeralda. It is characterized by four white beaches washed by a transparent sea. Behind the beach there is an interesting lake-like area encircled by a lush vegetation, among which there are rushes from which the beach takes its name.
