Itineray
From Via Roma, in downtown Cagliari, follow the signposts to the beach. Drive until the end of the avenue called viale Diaz, then continue onto viale Poetto which runs for 1 km along the built-up area and, after that, along the side of the beach.
Description
The traditional beach of Cagliari, Poetto is one of the longest of Sardinia, stretching for 9 km from Cagliari to Quartu Sant’Elena. It is bordered on the south-western side by a promontory called the Devil’s Saddle for its peculiar shape. At its foot lies the small touristic harbour of Marina Piccola, around which it is possible to make a pleasant walk also at night. Poetto is much frequented, day and night, all year round, thanks to the presence of a large number of kiosks offering refreshments and entertainment around the clock. Its sand is white and very fine. Thanks to its transparent waters, which are a shallow for a long stretch, and to the sandy seabed, the beach is safe and suitable for children.
Equipped with every kind of facility.
