It is a holiday time location that during winter time has less than 200 residents but in the summer time is very populated by an elite tourism. It was built during the sixties with the initiative of Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, whom fascinated by the beauty of the place, decided to buy the lands of the area and with a group of famous architects built one of the most important and famous touristic centres in the world. Porto Cervo is characterized by small squares, small streets, flight of stairs, shops and exclusive boutiques; the architectural features of the buildings make them particularly beautiful. Its touristic port hosts spectacular boats and yachts.
