Itineray
From Villasimius, take the road towards the touristic harbour. After about 3.5 km, turn left in the proximity of the harbour following the signposts to Porto-Giunco Notteri. After a short stretch the asphalted road becomes a dirt one. Once you get to the wood of eucalyptus, park the auto and continue on foot.
Description
This beach is known as ‘The beach of the two seas’ because of the big pool of Notteri, which lies behind it. This spot is of an amazing beauty, thanks to the dunes made of extremely white sand, rich in typical dunal vegetation, and to the promontory which, covered in Mediterranean maquis, surrounds the beach and protects it from the Mistral. The promontory is topped by the tower ‘Torre di Porto Giunco’, which can be reached through a short walk, built by the Aragoneses in the 16th century in order to spot the Saracen pirates. At the foot of the Tower there are two small inlets, protected from the winds, where the sand is extremely white and the sea brings together all the different shades of light blue.
Restaurants, hotels, kiosks, water sport equipment rental, wheelchair access, car park.
