The locations are not numerous, but all are worthwhile from a technical perspective, spectacular esthetically and easy to reach, as they are close to renowned tourist destinations.
Of all the photogenic golf courses in Sardinia, at least two deserve mention: the first is located in Santa Margherita di Pula, at about thirty kilometers towards the South-west of Cagliari, where were hosted four editions of the Open Italian Championships.

We are referring to Circolo Golf Is Molas, in the vicinity of the sea, and considered both one of the most challenging and one of the most enchanting courses of the Mediterranean area at the same time, providing greens and bunkers in American style, as well as an elegant resort.
The complex emerged in 1975 and offers three different courses: one of 18 holes at par 72, one of 9 holes at par 36 and another one of eighteen which was recently created. On the other flank of the Sardinian capital, facing the crystal-clear waters of the marine protected area of Capo Carbonara, you can find Tanka Golf Club Villasimius.

The particular perfume mixing brine and Mediterranean plants and flowers render unique the backdrop to this particular 18-hole course which was awarded a prize in 2007 as the best new golf course in Italy by the magazine “Il Mondo del Golf”, and which stretches out over an area of about 40 hectares. In certain spots along the course, the panorama is literally breathtaking.
