If you are leaving from the centre of Alghero, pass by the Lido di San Giovanni beach and continue on Via I Maggio north towards Fertilia. From Fertilia, continue on SS 127 bis towards Porto Conte. After about 5 km, you will arrive at a turn-off. From there, take SP 55 on the right which continues north towards Capo Caccia. After about 4 km, turn left towards Capo Caccia. After more or less 5 km there is a turn-off on the left for the Tramaglio small port and beach. If you are leaving from Sassari, take SS 291 towards Alghero. After about 25 km, having reached the locality of Santa Maria la Palma, continue on SP 55 bis for Capo Caccia. After about 15 km, you will arrive at the beach. If you are leaving from Bosa, take the coast road north towards Alghero, which you will get to after about 45 km of panoramic road.
Description
This beach is characterized by fine golden sand mixed with gravel. The sea is azure and crystalline. The water is shallow and the sea-bottom is especially rocky. On one side, there’s a small tourist port from which excursions to Capo Caccia and the Grotte di Nettuno (Neptune’s Caves) can be taken. The landscape is dominated by a Spanish tower of the 16th century and by a large blooming pine forest.
