Tempio Pausania is a lively city in the heart of the Gallura region caressed by the flourishing green ridges on Monte Libara in a valley filled with oak and holly oak trees.

The mountain is home to streams and waterfalls that merge into lakes Liscia and Coghinas.

The city is framed by an intense green and the mineral water gushing from the Rinaggiu spring has been known since antiquity for its diuretic properties.

Tempio Pausania is of great historic and artistic value and bears witness to its past, when it was still called “Gellemea” by the Romans or “Villa Templi” during the Middle Ages.

The city centre preserves the magnificent 15th century Saint Peter Cathedral and an 18th century Oratory in perfect Catalan Gothic style.
