In Muravera and on the Costa Rei, vacations are best spent outdoors, so you can discover and enjoy the hinterland.
Excursions on foot, on horseback or by mountain bike, for instance, allow you to explore the trails of the massif of Sette Fratelli or the antique silver mine of Baccu Arrodas, enveloped in the scented vegetation of the woods on these mountainsides, while for fans of Nordic walking an excursion to the granite mountain of Monte Ferru is almost obligatory. Enthusiasts of birdwatching and natural photography will not want to miss out on a visit of the lagoons of San Giovanni, Colostrai, and Feraxi, where the landscape is rendered even more evocative by the presence of elegant birds such as pink flamingos, herons, and swamp harriers.

And what about the sea? There is just too much to take in: the sea beds at Portu de S’Illixi and Cala Sa Figu, at the promontory of Capo Ferrato, offer a perfect opportunity to dive and admire up close the incredible variety of marine plants and fish, besides the countless finds, such as the famous Roman treasures after which the Baia delle Anfore nearby was named. If you go swimming, canoeing, or sailing, you can take a moment to admire the stunning landscapes behind you, where the mountains frame and shield the bays and beaches – which often have facilities for beach volley and tennis, too – and the clear water off the coast from the wind.
