Itineray

From Villasimius, leave the village heading southward along via del Mare. Turn right following the signposts to the harbour of Villasimius. After about 1.5 km turn left following the signposts to the beach and the hotel with the same name. It is a dirt road ending at a car park adjacent to the beach.

Description

The name of this beach means “Fear of loving” and derives from an ancient legend according to which some fishermen had been bewitched by the melodious singing of a mermaid. The sand of this beach is very fine and white. Thanks to its crystalline shallow waters and the sandy seabed, it usually attracts families with children. It is backed by the pool of Notteri that hosts a colony of pink flamingos. The typical Mediterranean maquis, the small dunes made of extremely white sand, and the beach separating the pool from the sea, make this place unique and unforgettable.
