Itineray
From Oristano head north towards Cuglieri. After about 1 km you will get to the junction close to the Madonna del Rimedio sanctuary. Turn left onto the SP 1 in the direction of Marina di Torre Grande. After about 6 km you will get to the locality and to the adjacent beach.
Description
The beach of Torre Grande is about 2.5 km long, and has middle-grained white sand. On account of its shallow crystalline waters of a light blue colour and of the sandy sea-bottom, the beach is suitable for families with children. It is well equipped and it usually gets very crowded during the high season. The town of Torre Grande and the beach with the same name owe their names to a 17-metre Spanish tower of the 1500s, called ‘Sa Turri Manna’, the tallest one built by the Spanish to defend the Sardinian coasts.
