If you are leaving from Santa Teresa di Gallura take the SS 133bis for Palau. After more or less 9 km on the left there’s the turn-off for Valle dell’Erica where you will arrive after more or less 3,5 km. Further north than the Valle dell’Erica beach there’s the La Licciola beach. La Licciola beach is near the hotel with the same name. Park the car in an unpaved parking lot, to reach the beach continue on foot. If you are leaving from Palau follow the signs for Santa Teresa di Gallura at first on the SS 133 and afterwards on the SS 133bis. Pass Porto Pozzo and after travelling c.2,5 km turn right for Valle dell’Erica.
Description
This beach is characterized by golden medium-sized grains of sand. The sea is transparent and azure, the water is shallow and the sea-bottom is a mix of sand and rocks. The landscape is wild and uncontaminated, there are granitic rocks spread along the shore. The side cliffs are covered with blooming Mediterranean maquis, behind the beach there’s a marsh encircled by a thick cane-brake.
